Dental Technology

In the past, dental treatments and procedures were uncomfortable and often painful. I speak from experience when I say this because I too was afraid of visiting the dentist for this very reason. Fortunately, dental technology has advanced at a rapid rate and dentists like myself are now able to provide not only more accurate treatment but gentler and more comfortable care.

The following are some of the latest dental technologies we use at our Los Angeles dental office to ensure you have a stress-free experience when you visit us.

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are an important part of your regular dental exams. These pictures help me accurately detect any issues or damage not visible to the naked eye so that I can provide the required treatment and protect your oral health.

Before, film X-rays were traditionally used in dentistry. Nowadays, advancements in dental technology allow us to use digital X-rays which are quicker, more comfortable for the patient, and more convenient for both the patient and the dentist. We take digital X-rays in seconds and can immediately analyze them on a screen, allowing you to better understand the treatment process.

Digital X-rays are also easily stored and transferred if needed and they emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional ones, reducing your risk of health issues associated with radiation exposure. With digital X-ray technology, we can ensure your comfort and I can provide faster and more accurate treatment recommendations.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a handheld, pen-sized instrument that captures live video images of your teeth and gums. This modern device allows me to easily capture and transfer the images onto a computer monitor where you and I can see them and discuss your treatment options in more detail.

Intraoral cameras are practical tools used in dentistry for a variety of purposes and help facilitate communication regarding the treatment of your oral health concerns.
